3 content formats people are craving in 2025


Hey team,

The content game is evolving fast, and what worked a year ago is already getting stale…

…Algorithms are shifting, audience attention spans are shrinking, and creators who don’t adapt will be left behind.

But if you pay attention, you’ll notice patterns…

…Certain content formats are crushing it right now, keeping people hooked, and driving insane results.

And looking ahead in 2025, a few stand out more than the rest.

Here are the three formats I see winning right now that are only going to win more as time goes on.

1. Authentic educational content.

The type of content someone who’s a master in their field shares how to do something with plenty of anecdotes.

It doesn’t have to be overly edited or professionally edited.

In a lot of situations, raw and off-the-cuff content works extremely well as it comes across as more genuine.

Three months ago, I created a piece of content for YouTube following this theory, and it’s still performing well on YouTube (70-100 views per day).

And it only took me 15 minutes to create:

  • I sat down with a topic from my mind that people have been asking for
  • Turned on my screen recording
  • Dropped all the info I had in mind
  • Uploaded it to YouTube with a simple title and no thumbnail

It's since received 7,400 long form views, 73 new subscribers and generated thousands of dollars in income

2. Well researched content stacked with good info.

This is the kind of content where someone spends 10 hours researching a topic and condenses it into 10 minutes, saving the viewer time and delivering the best bits.

Well-researched, well-planned, and put together well.

Almost like the opposite end of the spectrum to the first type of educational content.

I also tried this format of content on my YouTube channel, and it’s my best-performing video of the last 12 months (despite only being published 2 months ago).

I simply went ahead and researched all of the recent updates about Instagram that were published by the CEO of Instagram, then compiled it all into a 17-minute video, which went on to hit 100,000 views in 65 days

3. Storytelling.

This is the biggest shift in content I see this year…

…People are craving authentic stories, especially with the rise of AI-generated content flooding the timeline, people want stories.

This could be a simply edited video sharing:

  • Something you went through recently
  • Something you learned
  • Something you did
  • Something your client/team went through
  • A story of the past you recently learnt about

It can be something extravagant or something simple, but people are craving stories.

This, in all honesty, is a weakness of mine that I haven’t done as much of, but I will be testing more and more going forward.

So, those are the three content formats I see winning in 2025.
